A soggy day in the Big Apple! The weather over the weekend was amazing while we were at Josh and Miranda's. And then Monday we had plans to take the train into the city. It sprinkled as we left their home and by the time we got to the train station an hour away it was umbrella city. We opted to press on...risk that another hour away it would be sunny skies. Nope. Knowing that everyone else in NYC would be waiting for a cab we took the subway to Canal St. We passed by all of the watches, purses and jewelry for a couple of sweatshirts. We sloshed our way through Chinatown to Little Italy where we enjoyed lunch. Another subway ride later we were at Times Square (Jacob's choice) where I insisted on one photo and he insisted on a ride on the ferris wheel. More time on the subway, more time on the train and before we knew it Josh was there to pick us up. In the meantime, I was feeling pretty proud of myself that I managed a cab free trip to the city. That was a first! And if the next time you are in NYC and you see Rascal, one of two subway rats,
tell him Jacob says hi!
