After nearly spending a great chunk of 2009 with
our family it was time for Shadya to leave TX.
We were so sad to see her go (as were her friends) and have thought
about her every day since her departure.

The Class of 2009!!!!!!

The Mattson Family celebrating Brynne's graduation.

Gabby, Brynne, Shadya

Brynne and Anne...Anne has known Brynne from mere
hours old. Our first meal out with newborn Brynne was Mexican
and Anne was with us. Our first meal with our new grad was Mexican
and Anne was with us!

MiMi and Pop-Pop took a break from their move in
FL to come see their first grandchild graduate
from high school.

Emily and Brynne are ready to move on!

At the risk of sounded biased...our
beautiful girls at Joe T's in Fort Worth.

What a fantastic four years she had!

It is an annual tradition to celebrate the end of the school
year with a Bud's snowcone.
Clearly it is not something we have aged out of!

Baccalaureate was another step in our march towards graduation.
Brynne was a participant in the service and chose to read
Romans 12:1-8.

Brynne watches patiently for a turn with her new college computer!

Brynne and 27 other youth from the local community were
honored by the Colleyville Woman's Club in April.
Brynne and the other students photographed received the
Circle of Hope Award which "honors youth
who demonstrate meritorious community service."

Mrs. Karrabi Malin is one of the teachers that has
made a monumental impact on Brynne.
Brynne had the honor of working with Mrs. Malin in
her bilingual elementary classroom last year.
Mrs. Malin not only modeled teaching done well,
but she also encouraged Brynne to pursue her own
passion for bilingual education.

Shadya celebrated her 17th birthday in Texas.
Of course Lacey worked her baking magic!

From Kindergarten to NHS!

Julia and her brothers came to Texas for a visit.
An added bonus, beyond visiting with my brother and his family,
was that my sister-in-law got to attend the
Senior Presentation for NCL.

We had a great day!
We opened the park and closed it down.
Good times.

We had so much fun hanging out by the dolphins!

While we wanted to get out of town for a couple of days
we also wanted to hang out at home and enjoy
Colleyville with a little less running around.
A short road trip to San Antonio was
the perfect solution!

Earlier this month we had a chance for Lacey and Shadya
to see a little bit of A&M University.
They attended a short conference and I hit the
George Bush Library.
I would commend it to you.
Brynne hung out on campus as an
officially admitted Aggie of 2014!
